Knowledge Translation
ISAAA AfriCenter develops, repackages, and disseminates simplified bioscience knowledge products through digital and traditional channels so that the public has a trusted source of credible information in an age of accelerating misinformation.
Knowledge Translation
Scientific information holds immense potential to transform communities through novel technologies and innovations. Yet, in Africa, limited access to bioscience information and fragmented resources hinder progress and delay decision-making. This challenge is compounded by the digital revolution, which often amplifies misinformation and makes it harder to distinguish facts from fiction.
Why knowledge translation matters
Disinformation campaigns against scientific innovations have intensified, breeding mistrust and limiting Africa’s ability to fully leverage bio-innovations. The World Economic Forum has identified misinformation as a global crisis, underscoring the urgency of responding with credible, structured, and systematic communication.
ISAAA AfriCenter is positioning itself as a go-to source of bioscience information by fostering public trust and enabling evidence-based discussions for a wide range of audiences through both digital and traditional channels.
