The Virus Resistant Cassava for Africa (VIRCA) Plus project has an immediate opening for a Program Manager. VIRCA Deployment is a mature, international, multi-institutional project employing RNAi technology to develop and deliver cassava with enhanced resistance to virus disease and elevated micronutrient content to small-holder farmers in Africa.
Candidates for this position must have demonstrated ability to manage and organize a complex, technology-driven project. They must understand and have leadership experience in driving projects to meet performance and timeline requirements, while remaining within budget. Experience within crop biotechnology, familiarity with regulatory systems and seed systems, plus outstanding communications skills are essential.
The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya, with expectation for travel within East Africa, Nigeria and the USA. Interested candidates must apply by Friday 25th November, 2022.
